Save The Dates

Glenn & I are really big into photos, and we wanted to do something quick, fun & causal.  Postcards.  Ta-da.  I put some pictures into iPhoto, exported them to a PDF and sent them to OfficeMax to be printed on glass card stock & cut.  The OfficeMax on Maui was anything but professional, and they messed up on the cuts a little bit (some had a white border on 3 edges instead of 4, etc). With the reduced postage on postcards, they came to $1 ea.

Invites

Since the Save The Dates were so casual, I want the invites to be very formal.  Here are some designs that I like.  The pocket would be black, with white invite & coral accents possibly.  As our inserts we would have an RSVP info card (not a formal RSVP card w/ envelope), invitations to other weekend activities, and info on wedding transportation. I plan to order the pieces from www.paper-source.com as they're the cheapest that I've found.

Here are some of my inspirations: (Photos from www.renaissancewritings.com)

Travel Update Info

I want to send out a third mailer to all of our guests when it's closer to the wedding.  Some ideas that I like are the "Tickets to Paradise" "Passport" (ayleebits DIY bio) or just a simple 3-fold "Travel Brochure."
And, the simple three-fold brochure wins...

Place Cards & Map/Board

Because it's such a small group, we're foregoing ceremony programs and menus.  We will have assigned seating and a display board, however.  I just don't know what yet....I think we're doing the black frame, and I'll differentiate between those having lamb and fish by using either the papaya (meat) or cream paper (fish).

Guest Book

Because we love our photos so much, we decided to make a photo book of our travels as our guest book.  I made it, again, using iPhoto on my Mac, and Apple will "publish" it as a coffee book.  It's 100 pages and covers everything from the day we met to the day he proposed.  It has room for guests' comments at the bottom of most page, and some pages have up to 1/2 a page available for comments.
